Tygart is seeking a
Senior Cyber Capability Developer to support a DOJ office in Clarksburg, WV. This position plays a vital role in securing mission-critical systems by identifying vulnerabilities, analyzing potential threats, and supporting secure software development practices. The ideal candidate must possess a current a Top-Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support ISSOs in the evaluation of delivered software for security and compliance.
- Perform static analysis on source code in languages including, but not limited to:
- C, C++, Java, C#, Groovy, Python, Perl, Puppet, JavaScript, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, Objective-C.
- Conduct dynamic, manual, and automated reverse engineering of binary files to identify vulnerabilities or malicious logic.
- Analyze and cross-reference code libraries with industry best practices, including OWASP Top 10.
- Develop tools, frameworks, scripts, and application extensions to enhance software security assessment processes.
- Perform:
- Static/dynamic analysis of known and unknown malicious binaries.
- Functional and behavioral analysis of source code and scripts.
- Hardware/firmware analysis, as needed.
- Provide expert guidance on:
- Malicious code indicators and identification techniques (source and binary).
- Secure software development methodologies and practices.
- Secure web development principles and web security best practices.
- Assist stakeholders in identifying and evaluating technical and operational security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Deliver technical reports (e.g., risk assessments, secure code evaluations) and presentations to stakeholders.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer and internal briefings.
Qualifications:
- Active Top-Secret Security Clearance (required).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Information Security, with a focus on software security analysis and cyber threat assessment.
- Strong understanding of software development and scripting in multiple languages.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or equivalent
