Technical Architect

Tygart is currently seeking a Technical Architect to support a Department of Justice (DoJ) organization. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in cloud services, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud service offerings.  This position requires that the candidate have a current Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities include:  
  • Provide expert consultation services in specialized technical or functional areas.
  • Provide technical leadership, direction, and strategic skills in support of complex information technology tasks that require unique or uncommon levels of expertise related to specific functional subject matter.
  • Stay current on new and emerging new and emerging information technologies, methods and tools.
 
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in technical or analytical roles supporting enterprise-level IT applications and systems
  • Demonstrated experience creating technical architectures to establish applications and  integration with existing enterprise systems
  • Experience integrating COTS, GOTS, and open source software to leverage efficiency, re-use, and data sharing
  • Experience in implementing new or emerging technologies, specifically in the areas of data transformation, high performance computing, and new analytical tool integration
  • Experience in containerization and container orchestration systems
  • Demonstrated AWS/Cloud Experience
  • AWS Certification is required, in one of the following areas:
  • Certified DevOps Engineer-Professional
  • Cloud Certified Developer-Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Professional or higher.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Agile/SCRUM Methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to work with government leaders and application teams to sound engineering practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with government leaders and application teams to sound engineering practices.
  • Must be able to well under pressure, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
