SharePoint Application Developer

Quantico, VA
Tygart is currently seeking a SharePoint Application Developer to support a DOJ component. The candidate will be part of a team, collaborating closely with the government staff, developing solutions to meet the needs of business stakeholders. This position requires that the candidate have a current Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities include:  
  • Provide development support and IT subject matter expertise in the requisite technology to provide the most appropriate and efficient IT solution
  • Provide the Government with the most appropriate IT solution for each engagement so as not to impact the timeline before actual development work may begin
  • Providing and integrate SharePoint application support and development complete with customized automated workflow development, CRUD functionality, JavaScript extenders, e-Form/business logic development, reporting services, and other SharePoint Functionality, and other development services in response to user requirements and division needs. The contractor shall
  • Integrate Power Automate and SQL (server, notifications, and reporting services) with SharePoint to develop solutions that meet customer business needs
  • Conduct analysis of operational, technical, and systemic requirements and provide solutions for gaps in IT services where appropriate.
  • Evaluate risk and adhere to security requirements and ensure that system and configuration administration is current and within agency guidelines.
  • Migrate systems, solutions, and data to new technologies and platforms as required
  • Communicate schedules, direction, and requirements. Create and support project life cycle management documentation such as Workflow/Code application details, reports, security documents, CONOPS, help guides, job aids, and user guides, architecture and workflow diagrams, system designs, and other materials as required.
  • Develop solutions for up to three ongoing engagements simultaneously
  • Migrate solutions from InfoPath to SharePoint, JavaScript (and other programming extenders of SharePoint), Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Update and create SharePoint sites as needed including web parts, custom JavaScript, and other enhancements
  • Respond to customer issues as required to include providing help support, performing solution maintenance functions, and ensuring that solutions are operating as designed.
  • Provide IT thought leadership and recommendations to the government lead and participate in the regular exchange of knowledge with stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of IT components implemented.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of metrics to support reporting needs.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Engineering or Computer Information Systems degrees, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • Five (5) years as a SharePoint application developer and administrator providing analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting and/or upgrading of software systems.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in integrating SharePoint with other technologies such as JavaScript and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Three (3) years with script and/or programming languages related to web design principles and applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft SharePoint, InfoPath, JavaScript, JQuery, ExtJS, Bootstrap
  • Experience designing reports from SharePoint data sources and with web application connectivity to data sources and databases to include MS Access, SQL, Oracle, Access, MySQL, Postgres, XML, CSV.
  • SharePoint and other certifications demonstrating appropriate skills (e.g., administration or development).
  • Experience migrating InfoPath solutions to other technologies.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and have excellent organizational skills. 
  • Experience supporting law enforcement / intelligence agencies with a global presence is highly desired.
