Web Application Developer (.NET)

Tygart is currently seeking a Web Application Developer (.NET) to provide development, maintenance, and administration of web applications and services supporting a Department of Justice (DoJ) organization. The successful candidate will have experience developing web-based applications in .NET. This position requires that the candidate have a current Top Secret security clearance.  This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities include:  
  • Migrate a hybrid SharePoint / ASP.NET application to a .Net application
  • Migrate InfoPath form functionality/libraries from SharePoint
  • Develop new web pages, enhancements, new functionalities and reports, ensuring application consistency with required updates to the database schema as a result of new needs and capabilities. 
  • Maintain the website application using best practices and standard web development methodologies based on .NET frameworks
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
 
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Engineering or Computer Information Systems degrees, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • 10 years of web application development / programming including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting and/or upgrading of software systems
  • 5 years of experience with script and/or programming languages and frameworks related to web design principles and applications such JavaScript, JQuery, .NET
  • Experience with React and ASP.Net is required
  • Experience migrating applications from a SharePoint to ASP.NET is preferred.
  • Experience integrating reporting and database capabilities with SQL Server and PowerBI.
  • Must be able to well under pressure, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
