Tygart is currently seeking a IT Project Manager/Database Analyst to support a DOJ component. The candidate will be part of a team, collaborating closely with the government staff, leading the development of solutions to meet the needs of business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong business analytical background, experience planning IT projects, and technical skills in Database migration. This position requires that the candidate have a current Top Secret security clearance. Responsibilities include:
Research 20 or more MS Access databases/applications and identify options for migrating to data to SQL environment and front-end interfaces
Document database designs
Develop plan for engaging customers, evaluating options and presenting alternatives
For each database project, develop detailed plans to include scope, time and technical requirements
Provide support for ongoing database applications as required during migration planning
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or other related analytical disciplines.
10 years’ total project management experience managing projects
Eight (8) years’ experience managing IT projects to include experience managing IT efforts requiring the integration of different technologies.
Five (5) years of experience in the analysis of database designs
Experience articulating findings into written report formats, providing guidance, expertise, and recommendations in executive level meetings, performing research/analysis
Experience with various project management methodologies, such as Agile, SAFe, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
Industry certifications demonstrating high level knowledge of IT functional areas.
Knowledge of MS Access and SQL desired
Must be able to work well under pressure, possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have excellent organizational skills.
Experience supporting law enforcement / intelligence agencies with a global presence is highly desired.
